Is there actually WRONG breastfeeding positions for a newborn?

No! There is no wrong breastfeeding positions for newborns.  

You can hold your baby any which way and as long as they’re comfortable and transferring milk well.

However, there are 2 things to keep in mind when positioning yourself with a newborn:

  • Make sure their belly is facing you.

  • Never hunch over them.  Don’t bring your nipple to baby. Bring baby to your nipple. 

The easiest and most comfy position for breastfeeding a newborn?

Laid back breastfeeding.

 
 

In fact, the laid back breastfeeding position is not just for newborns… it’s a great position for any age!
