Is Leaking Colostrum Normal During Pregnancy?
Yes! Some moms don’t leak at all during pregnancy. Some leak only a little. Some leak a lot. And some only leak from one side. All totally normal.
Did you know?
Your breasts are asymmetrical. Asymmetry is normal in humans. (and boobs are no exception!)
Each breast varies in:
the amount of milk ducts
the sizes of the milk ducts
the amount of milk-making tissue
letdown responses
how many working milk ducts it has
You can see why it’s not uncommon for only one breast to leak, or produce different amounts of milk than the other one.
You might have one slacker boob, or lazy boob, that produces significantly less breast milk than the other one. Most women do.
