What’s in the homemade body armor drink for breastfeeding

Only 2 ingredients.

Coconut water and the juice of your choice.

Coconut water is the main ingredient in Body Armor that hydrates moms and can potentially increase milk supply a bit if you’re dehydrated.

Coconut water is naturally packed with electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and magnesium. It’s really healthy for postpartum and breastfeeding bodies and contains calcium, antioxidants and helps maintain fluid balance in the body.

Here are a few recipes to make homemade Body Armor drinks for a fraction of the cost.

Coconut water is naturally lower in sodium compared to bottled Body Armor. If you’d like to increase the sodium levels in the drink to mimic Body Armor, add a ¼ tsp. of salt before consuming.

Sweeten to taste.
These drinks will not be as sweet as Body Armor. You can adjust the sweetness to taste by increasing the ratio of fruit juice to coconut water or by stirring some honey in.
