The verdict:

Dentists don’t all agree about the safety of whitening your teeth while breastfeeding.

Some dentists are cautious because they warn there haven't been enough studies to know the risks, and they recommend waiting until you finish breastfeeding.

On the flip side, there are other dentists who will gladly whiten your teeth while breastfeeding and say it’s most likely safe.

They figure that the whitening stuff (peroxide) is so teensy that even if you swallow a smidgen, it won't really affect your breast milk and, therefore, won't impact your baby.

So, it's kind of a mixed bag of opinions on this one! 🦷✨

The decision is in your hands, and it's all about how comfy you feel.

Our advice? Chat it up with your healthcare provider and your trusted dentist to figure out your best move.

Some moms have gone for teeth whitening while they're nursing, while others have decided to wait until the baby's done with the milk bar. Your call! 😊🦷✨
